This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly pay rate. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with a preferred start of 7:00 AM. 100% of the work will be performed within our corporate office in Bensenville, IL.
Duties:
-Taking and handling incoming service desk calls, emails, and letters
-Initiating orders, checking on current orders & following up on backordered items
-Data entry
-Preparing & updating letters, memos, and reports
-Recording, for historical purposes, communications with internal staff and outside vendors and customers
-Scanning of receipts, bills, and other job-related paperwork
-Maintaining and organizing all job-related paperwork with each project
-Perform research
-Keeping and updating Product Safety Data sheets up to date
-Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department
-Other general office duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
-Expert experience with email correspondence, including using attachments, within Outlook
-Excellent telephone communication with a strong focus on customer service
-Ability to speak in a clear, professional, and courteous manner
-Good data entry skills with minimal errors
-Able to creatively problem-solve
-Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and working collaboratively as a part of a team when needed
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
-Capable of multi-tasking despite multiple conflicting priorities occurring simultaneously
-Willing to dress, speak and operate in a professional manner within an office environment
-Strong work ethic with minimal unplanned absences

EXPERIENCED HEAVY HIGHWAY/COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience in heavy highway or commercial construction estimating and project management.
-Preference for experience in mass earthwork, highway construction and/or commercial excavation.
-Must be able to work independently.
-Experience with HCSS-HeavyBid, HCSS-HeavyJob, Agtek, and Microsoft Office a plus.
-B.S. in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management or equivalent additional experience.
Duties:
Estimating
-Prepares quantity takeoffs for commercial excavation and heavy highway projects.
-Analyzes project costs and anticipated productivity.
-Prepares lump sum and unit price proposals for a variety of mass excavation, heavy highway, and commercial excavation projects.
-Negotiates subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Project Management
-Interacts directly with contracting party (General Contractor or Owner).
-Prepares and negotiates subcontractor and supplier contracts.
-Prepares and transmits contract change orders.
-Manages and evaluates project budget.
-Assists in planning and organizing field activities in accordance with project specification and contract.
